2014 Smalls SAL

I only joined this in August so will only have 5 updates to post.

The first is a small pincushion which will be kept in my sewing basket as the design makes me smile.

October's piece

French Country Witch
by JBW Designs
Stitched on pale grey opalescent linen by Polstitches Designs
Hand Dyed thread - Nevermore by Jodyri Designs

I loved stitching this and am delighted with the way it has turned out but I just haven't managed to finish it.   My sewing machine hasn't seen the light of day for quite a while ..............
I even have some fabric that I think will be perfect with this piece but that still hasn't inspired me to finish it.
You can't really see the slight variegation in both the fabric and thread which are really effective and added to my enjoyment of stitching this piece.

November's Small finish

Peace Scissors design by Sue Hillis
Stitched on mulberry 28 count linen
DMC thread plus Madeira metallic for the needles

Mounted in a white aperture card with a bit of wadding behind it to make it stand out.
